#132 - TOMBOW

When a class is not as interesting as you wish, your mind started flying away of the class. You do not know where it will finish. This seems very philosophic, but I know that it happens to all of you. If it is not true, tell me please.

Today we bring you some conclusions of this "problem". Some quick sketches. I invite you to send yours to me. You can see that mines are not professional. Drawing you will improve them.

The first one is a fusion between a Nissan Micra and a Opel Corsa.

Este segundo ya no se ni lo que es... Verdaderamente no me quedé agusto con el / The second one i have not any word for it, I don´t know what ir...

#108 - Informality

Today we have another guide-book. It is called Informality. Is a book written by Andres Parada. I think that  his words are the best to describe it:

“Expression through images has always felt most natural to me. When I was a little young kid, I used pencils and crayons; as a teenager, it was often through a spray-can or acrylic paint; and since my mid-twenties, it has been through a pen or Photoshop.

I am not an educator, so this book is not intended to instruct but rather to inspire. I remember in 2005 when I first came across the book “Design Sketching” by Klara Sjölen and Erik Olofsson, I was struck by the high level of skill and creativity I saw in those sketches. It was highly inspiring for me as a design student to have that book as a resource. Throughout the last year I have had a desire to compile a book that could invigorate others the same way I was inspired then.

This book is divided into eight sections of content. Each section presents its topic from rough sketches done in an analog way to more refined sketches created digitally in
Photoshop. Almost everything in this book is non-client work, but all the sections are dedicated to areas of design in which I have experience.

I am by no means a master at sketching, drawing or visual communication, but I work diligently daily on honing my skills toward greater excellence. My intent is to offer this compilation of sketch work as an inspirational and practical reference book that can hopefully motivate others to produce great work.” – Andres Parada

El libro se puede comprar en Blurb. / You can buy it in Blurb.

#106 - Learning Curves

In this book you have different colaborations. So, that is the reason why we can find different ways to draw. We can find lots of type of objects and it is explaining the steps that you have to follow to obtain it. It is a really good guide for students and for those that want to learn how to draw.

The only con I have found is the price. It cost 55$. And if you want to buy it, click here.

#90 - Chip Foose

Do you remember the post we published a week ago about making some sketches of a printer and a sports car ( #26 - Bocetos )? Well, yesterday I armed myself with patience and little by little I gave color to the printer. Again I'm back using Autodesk SketchBook Designer 2012. Very easy to use and the truth is that the results obtained are amazing. I encourage you to use it and to send us your sketches.

#24 - Drawing with Sketchbook Designer 2012

Today I am going to show you a sketch I drew weeks ago with Sketchbook Designer 2012. It is something very easy and I am going to explain it step by step. The sketch is about a young longboarder doing downhill.

First of all we draw the main lines.

Then we make the final lines with vectors. It is easy to change because the only thing we need to do it is add more points on the vector.

El siguiente paso es ver hacer desaparecer la capa de los primeros trazos./ We made disappear the main lines.

A continuación coloreamos y hacemos algún que otro detalle. / With a new layer we painted it.

The next step is to give  it some shadows. The last thing we need is a place or background.

In this step we have two options: to put a photo as background or draw it. We decided to do the second one. The two lines are the shore of the road.

Algo de color... / More colour...

Finally some details of the road and of the grass.
